Where can we find unusual wedding rings?

My fiancée and I have started looking for our wedding rings, and we’ve realised pretty quickly that plain gold bands just aren’t for us. We want something that feels more refined and a bit luxurious, maybe with an unusual shape, mixed metals or some stones, but still something we can actually wear every day. We’re happy to spend more for the right pair, we just don’t want to end up with the same rings everyone else seems to have. Where would you look for something a bit more distinctive?

Mate, I can already see you two agreeing on the price and then spending an hour arguing over one tiny row of diamonds. I’d go somewhere with enough high-end pieces that you can compare a few very different designs side by side. For a first stop, you could have a look in Boodles, where there’s enough variety to get a proper sense of what actually suits each of you. You’ll probably narrow things down a lot faster once you’ve both got a few serious contenders in front of you.

I’d also stop searching only in the usual wedding-ring sections. Some of the nicer choices turn up when you look through jewellers that put more work into the design itself, because you get different shapes, settings and details without everything looking like another version of the same band.
